| Model 637 Last week I ordered and received a new SW Model 637 Airweight. Following is the range report. Went out to my son’s range this morning and we put the new Smith & Wesson 637 through its paces. Used Winchester White Box 38 spl 130 grain FMJ and Winchester 38 spl +p 125 hr. JHP.. My first observation is that the recoil, or lack thereof with this 15 oz lightweight 1.87" barrel snubbie is amazingly light. Absolutely no discomfort at all. Tried it at 7 yards as for this type of gun, it seldom would be used at a greater distance than that. Ran it through slow fire, rapid fire, single action and double action. Never a hiccup and smooth as glass. And at 7 yards, it’s deadly. Hits right where you aim it. Cant ask for more. . I’ve got a Galco Speed Master, Model SM159 (left hand) coming. Should be a perfect fit. Needless to say, I’m impressed and pleased with this Smith. ![]()
