Browning Hp

Lads and Lasses I finally got it. Yesterday, I bought one pistol I always wanted to have. The Browning HP. (the Practical model in 9mm Luger).
Of course, where I come from, the price is more than what you'd pay over there but who cares ? I finally got it and it's M I N E ! ! !

It's made in Belgium too, by FN Herstal.

And now ... I'm gonna shoot the s..t out of it !

Congratulations on your new gun.

I've found a pair of Hogue rubber grips makes shooting the Browning HP very comfortable.

there are hi powers, and then there are hi power clones, they aint the same. the practical model is a 2 tone gun with rubber wraparound grips vs. the MKIII which is all black, and the standard model which is hi polished blue. i'll see if i can find a pic of my practical.

Guys, thank you very much. I had to share the joy.
Now, of course I will send a range report when I shoot with it.
Blaster, is not so easy to buy a gun in Greece. You either have to be a member of a shooting club and take place in the action for at least 8 times a year, which is recorded and which is not so difficult in fact or give the authorities a decent reason and they will issue a concealed gun permit. (there must be a very serious reason like for example if you are a doctor and have to deal with specific drugs etc.) Anyway, the concealed gun permit is not easy and to top it all, usually you have to use other ways to obtain it (some "leverage", somewhere usually will deal with it).
But the shooting club solution is not so difficult and you can get a number of guns or rifles (bolt action only) if you qualify.
I've told you before how lucky you are, haven't I ?!

Yes, I know that fm a date on they are being assembled in Portugal, but LEFTY O described the "practical" correctly.

Now JERRY, I think I must explain why some people (quite a few infact) don't like Americans abroad.
Read carefully:

It's not the ordinary American that they don't like. They usually don't know how life is in America and how the Ordinary Joe is thinking, but the only way to get to know something, is fm the news bulletins and the dreaded HOLLYWOOD stereotypes...

You see, when your politicians, who usually, are not infact represent you as a people, but instead choose to "help" the persons who have them on their payroll (it's hard to say this, but it's true and everybody knows that), get involved in actions that are against other nations interests/habbits/culture/way of life/economical strength etc... what do you expect these other people to do. If they are civilised usually they despise you and they show it to you, but if they are cuffers they just send mujahentins.

The problem is that the Ordinary Joe knows that America (USA to us all) always helped the poor and assisted the troubled. But the truth may be a little different. You see, while you guys are being told that "our policy as Americans is to help the world and blah blah blah... they (the politicians) use the Ordinary Joe's money to do whatever they do and infact try to serve the interests of the people who "hire" them to do whatever they like in foreing countries (usually moneywise) and sometimes in the USA too.
And this way the rest of the world looks upon you as tyrrants and not as friends as you should be looked upon.
Bottom line is that your money are being used to suppress other peoples lives (but ofcourse nobody tells you that) and you are being told that everybody should be grateful for this because you help them all the time. So when you go abroad and find out that many people don't like you, you ask yourself the big WHY. Well that's why !!!

But believe me that there are a lot of people like me, who undersand what is going on. After 9/11 all of us, who understand and try to see things as they are, felt bad. We are all Americans when it comes to things like that. But pls try to see things from the other side too.
"If you don't give the cat a way to escape and try to put her in the corner she might jump and scratch your eyes out".

I sure hope that I didn't offend any Ordinary Joe over there. And feel free to come over here and have a good time, when you feel like it. The door is always open. But try to prove your politicians wrong and before you go to vote, THINK !. Think twice, thrice, and don't let them drag you by the nose like cattle. Wake up and give them what they deserve. And you know better what they deserve. We are trying to do the same with our corrupted rodents over here. It's not easy, I know, but at least try.

We tok...

You are right. It isnt easy.We have two parties and both are controlled by "BIG" something and are crooked as a dogs hind leg.The only choice we have is vote for what we consider "the lesser of two evils"Unfortunately they are equally evil and basically the news prints what is really some newspersons opinion, not the news.So we dont really ever know the truth. sam.
