Marlin Mowhawk

I have a Marlin 22. It has Mohawk stamped on it and is a 22 & 22 LR. I can't find anything on it. Everything I find on Mohawk is about Remington. Can anyone help me find out about this gun?

Rimfirecentral

popieron: I did a quick search and found nothing. Try
Rimfirecentral. these folks have dedicated there lives to the rimfire.
I personally didn't have a clue about any dedications until I found that site. Not a bunch of squabblers.
follow up with what you find
also try Numrich gun parts

Does it have the Marlin name stamped on it?
If you could give us a pic or two of the action, we could probably identify the closest factory model to it. It could be a 'special model' sold by a store - they would often put a proprietary name on a rifle actually made by a major manufacturer.
I found no mention of "Mohawk" in my 25th Edition Gun Trader's Guide - it's pretty good about listing the various model names.

I know remington made 600's that were mohawk models. Maybe this like a glenfield or sears and robuck brand?

That's what I was thinking, too. OTASCO, maybe?
