| I hunt with a 270 win. it has never let me down, and no matter where you go, there is ammo for it available. If you don't travel to out of the way places, I would say the 280 is slightly better, but the animal you hit, will never know it. If you travel to out of the way places, and your ammo becomes lost, or unusable, odds are you would have a lot better chance of finding the 270. It is always more fun to use a less popular calibur, seems to make it a bit more challenging. |
