Taurus Tracker .17

I'm looking into getting a .17 caliber revolver and am trying to decide between a Ruger single-six and a .17 Taurus Tracker. I know the Ruger would be a good gun but the Taurus is DA so would be a lot of fun. If anyone knows anything about the Taurus I'd appreciate some info.

mitchell have them both and both are a lot of fun. so I can't be a lot of help. I have a thing for single actions as a personal preferance. But the tracker is a great shooter.

thanks guys, I think I'm gonna go with a Taurus because I've decided that a single-six might be a little slow when I just wanna shoot and shoot

one thing that I should recommend is a trigger job. mine had a heavy trigger imo. so I had it taken down to around2.5-3lbs much better. plus I put a red dot on top for a little more accuracy and fun.

Okami, Tell me about the red dot system. What is the max distance (range) for the sighting?
I've thought about getting one but haven't had a dealer yet that can tell me much about them.

not really a whole lot to tell about them really mine is basiclly like a holo sight, no magnifacation, just an easy sight to aquire. look though the optic put the red dot on your target and squeeze. its not liek the crimson trace light if that is what you are thinking.

Just bought a Taurus Tracker today, 17 HMR. Take it out tomorrow and try it. Have shot the Taurus Judge. Nice revolver.
