I have one, and I'm quite happy with it. The only problem I ever had was trying to use 310gr lead bullets which are just too long to function properly. Everything else works great.

I had a Win model 94 in .44mag. It was a Trapper model. I liked it, it was a real hog dropper. I've heard that the Marlins are more accurate than the Win's.

I have the older modle...the one with the Micro grove rifleing as opposed to the Ballard rifeling....they changed because the micro grove dont like cast bulletts. Mine works great..pleasent to shoot..pretty accurate. Ive only used factory ammo at 50 yards..plinking but it is a serious soda can killer. The only mod I made was useing a dremel to sand down some sharp edges near the feed ram and reciever opening...kept nicking my fingers and looked like I was bleeding to death. Mine came with a 4x scope on it...picked it up used for $300 last year.
