Billy,

I have that exact same rifle, in .308. It's in service as a precision rifle; I carry it on duty in the trunk of my car.

Do you handload? If so, I recommend the 168 gr MatchKing, pushed by 42.0 of IMR 4895, Hodgdon Varget or IMR 4064. I use Winchester primers and once fired Federal cases, with an OAL of 2.800, no crimp. My 10FP holds sub MOA with this load.

Cant wait to hear how it does.Precision rifles are like getting a child or friend to do something. After you have supplyed the best equipment and advice possible, they still need your steady supportive hand to do their best. And patience, patience, patience. But how proud you will be when it works and you can say,I did it all by my self.Dont forget to load up on sweat bands,it isnt going to be cold forever. sam.

i am going to take that bipod off and put this rifle into my benchrest.
the bipod quick release device on this stock is just like that on an anshutz.
it's a good idea.

i opened up the pistol grip compartment and put some lead in it.
i like a heavy gun.

i got the dies!
once again it's a three banana day at ol billy's house!

Let us know how it shoots.
I just ordered my 10FP today; should have it after Christmas.
308 10FP's have been really scarce up here for some reason.
Looking forward to delivery.

i have fired this before i fixed it up.
the best group so far?
4/10 in. @ 105 m.

no matter how much i opened up the bbl. channel on the original stock it would flex enough to touch when in a rest.
this choate fixed that in a hurry.
