I know just what you mean...

Ditto on the date, more or less. Ditto on the drool factor.

The primary reason I want my 03 C&R is so I can have them shipped to my home without having to work the transaction through my local gun store. My gun guru gets enough of my money as it is! Also, it opens a wider world to my desire to collect shooters. I'm not after rare collector pieces; I just want shooters I can shoot! And unfortunately, some of the better online dealers don't have retail stores, just warehouses. Great stuff, but not where I can easily reach them. The C&R will let me get it anyway!

To be honest I don't know, I haven't even looked into yet, I'm tired of being ripped off by ffl holders and with the great deals on the internet it seems this would be the way for me to go to fulfil my passion for firearms.
Theres no sales tax when guns are ordered off the internet too.
A pretty good while back I was reading at one of the sites that sell information kits something I want to pursue futher and that is,,, say YOU for an example found a gun on the Internet and you paid for it and I ordered it for you because of my ffl.
Though I would do the back ground check, you used your charge card when the call was made when ordering the firearm.
Do I have to charge sales tax ? When the firearm was ordered off the Internet and purchased with the BUYER"S Credit Card ????
May be someone can answear that HERE.
This I do know is the firearm has to go to the ffl's address...A.H

Being the ffl you would still have to do the transfer and background check in order to get it off your licence. Most likely have to charge sales tax. There are a few more details to an 01 license such as a place of buisness. Has to be ok'ed by the city or county you live in.Not sure about all the facts but there are a lot more regulatios for an 01 ffl, lot more record keeping.I thought about it myself and decided against it.

A.H. ive got some regulations books for that.
they look like new york city phone books.
you have to have a permanent structure to sell out of.
i live in a mobile home so i cant do it without moving.

i use my C&R to get good deals on ammo and stuff

Tax

NO! a ffl01 is only doing a transfer not selling it so there is no sales tax involved .. Not being one to make statements that I may have to eat latter will say (there are exceptions to every rule)

someone pass the catsup and mustard
