Hey Rich, if you don't mind me asking, what'd you have to give for your M-39? It came from SOG, right?

Others will disagree, but I think Tikkas are not made to the same standard as Sakos.

I've read they are both owned by Berreta but most people, I've asked recently, have had these sentiments as well.

yes sako and tikka are owned by Beretta. The tikka is the more affordable version of the dako. They are made in the same factory just the tikkas usually have one less cartridge space for the clip.

$89.95 from InterOrdnance several years ago. I got the last SAKO they had. If i'd been smart I would've bought a VKT, B Barrel, and a "Sneak". as well.

Update on the 1941 M39 Finn...
I have checked it out as thoroughly as I could without disassembling it...Bore is Excellent, no counterbore...Wood is Excellent...1 Ding from the guys packing the sling next to the stock...
Spring loaded trigger 2 Stage, Comes off crisp at almost 4 lbs. , New Extracter, Pre-28 Izhevsk Bolt,
Late Reinforced Stock, Leather Sling...
A very Nice rifle to add to the Bunch.
Mosinitis strikes again.....

Rich
