| Colt Official Police 22LR Revolver
I recently acquired Colt Official Police revolver 22LR caliber. It is serial number 2241 and judging from a SN site I found, it appears to be made sometime during 1931. However, I don't know much else about it yet. It appears to be in VG condition also and I would like to know if anyone might know its value as well? It appears to have an "S" and a "U" embossed near the SN also. Any ideas???

A pre-War Colt could have a round or Square butt and 4,5, or 6 inch barrels...22lr was introduced in 1930... Value...98% = 650.00 w/ square butt More if with round butt and verified 1200-1300. Rich

Love the old Colts I have a police positive special 6" 32-20 and the grips are red with black swirly stripes and look to be original. Family hand me down and wouldn't sell it at any price.
