Cool Old single barrel percussion muzzle loading shotgun?

My brother-in-law gave me a very old shotgun, muzzle loader, percussion, single barrel. It is very worn, but may have been a real gem in its younger days. It is marked Parker only on the sideplate, which has a good deal of scroll work as does the rest of the receiver metal, tangs etc. It is missing the ram rod and hammer. Also, it has what I believe would be a damascus barrel, the old wrapped made barrel. Can anyone tell me about this gun or direct me where to go to do some research?
Thanks for any help,

It a shame your Parker is in that bad shape, but you are not alone. Most Parkers (95%) are in 30% shape or less.
Parkers were mfg. from 1866-1934 then sold to Remington and in 1938 the plant was moved to Ilion,NY.
Your gun as Described would still bring 375.00 to maybe 500.00.
A pristine Damascus D grade would be worth 3500.00+.

Thanks Rich, do you know of any references that I could peruse to get more detail on this gun? I would also like to find a ramrod and hammer if they are available anywhere.
Thanks again for the info.
Tom

Try this link for parts suppliers...
Shotgunworld.com - Find your shotgun parts here.

There is a Parker Forum on the internet that may be helpful...Parker Gun Collectors Association Forum

A trip to a Larger library as well as gun shows can help with research...
Good luck.
