VZ52 finally came

After much lamenting through the holidays, my VZ 52 finally came in tonight
So of course the first thing I did was to take pictures.

sorry about the glare

The metal is in great shape but only has a little bluing left but I haven't seen one that had much anyway. The bore looks sharp but I'll check it closer once I get a chance to clean it up.

Hmmm, this looks and sounds like a rifle I gotta own! I am a softie for the unusual plus as a south paw shooter this baby ejects to the left! I just looked on Gunbroker and found nothing but parts, gunsamerica turned up a zippo.

Where would be a good place to look for one of these?

Ha...mostly gun shows or keep cruising gunbroker/Auction Arms...goodluck.

Ammo is hard to find too but it pops up once in awhile...7.62x45

Gunsamerica has one that I almost got till I saw this one. If you've got one and are a reloader, there is a group buy going for a set of Lee dies for this.

I will keep my eyes open for the rifle. I love having unusual things unless the price is waaaaayy over my budget. I was reading that there is a vz52/57 variant that is chambered in 7.62x39 soviet as well as some that have chamber inserts, (ugh no thanks). I am sure those are as rare as hen's teeth but would be quite a find. Sure would solve the ammo issue.
