I am thinking about selling my 1953 Belgium Browning Superposed Lightning Magnum 20 gauge. It has 26'' barrels with skeet chokes. I would say it's between 90-95% condition

Bill, what Grade is it ???
That is an Expensive gun even a grade 1....
I Need grade to price it, or if unknown, the description of the Engravings...

It's a grade 1 Lightning

90% shape is 1,550.00
95% shape is 2,100.00
For the Grade 1 20 ga. I hope this helps.

Hey Moose would a Browning collector pay more ?

actually, a browning collector would probably pay less, unless it has some spectacular wood, or engraving. once again you cant really appraise a gun without having it in your hands.

Hard to say...I use the Blue book for pricing , condition being the most relevant to price, and If somebody can properly grade the gun ,I give them the Book price as a Guide...Same as any Gun shop or Dealer will...
If somebody was looking for a 20 Ga. Superposed for their Collection, and after inspecting it hands on decided what they wanted to pay, it could be more, we see that on Auction Arms, and E-bay on parts all the time...People with more money than brains in some cases...

Rather than a cash sale you might consider trading at a gun show or at a receptive dealer's gun store.
It might be a way to get more value (perhaps a very good deal on something you want) in the long run. Naturally, this will take some time and effort so that must be factored into the scenario.
