Exclamation Help - Golden State Arms

I've got a british .303 in my lap right now and all I see for markings is
Santa Fe - Mountaineer
Golden State Arms Corp. Pasadena Calif.

Anyone know where I can get a clip for it or information on it? I got it for free without a clip but did get a box of shells with it. I'll have pics up when my batteries charge for the camera.

Thanks.

I'm assuming here that what you have is some variant or another of the British Army .303 Lee Enfield bolt action rifle that was the battle rifle of the British Army in World Wars I & II. If that's the case, there is a 5 round magazine that will fit it on gunbroker.com right now. Be warned: it's not cheap.

GunBroker.com guns: British Enfield 5 Round Hunting Magazine (item: 88924438 ends: Jan-15-08 10:39:37 PM)

I think you're going to have to do some internet searching to locate more magazines. It surprised me that Numrich didn't have any, and that the auction sites I watch had only that one that might fit. Given how many SMLEs were made, you'd think there'd be a lot of them out there.

Golden State was one of the several (many) importers of military surplus arms in the 50's and early sixty's. (Oh for those days again)
