| Senior Member | Browning Buck Mark Ran across a Browning Buck Mark for sale. Owner says the serial number is 655P20xxxx. The site says 655 was manufactured 1985-1997 with the P indicating 80 something but 2 should be another letter to tell the other digit in the year. So I guess it is older than 1990. Is there that much difference in an 89 model and a 97 model other than age? Anyone have/had one of this vintage and have recommendations? |

| Senior Member | I had a late nineties model, it didnt seem much different than the one I have now. They are good pistols. Not to start anything here - everyone has an opinion - but I like them better than the Rugers. Much easier to clean and shoot just as good. I traded my first buckmark for a ruger - traded the ruger back for a buckmark! The grass is not always greener on the other side! Recommendations - buy it if the price is right! |

| Grumpy Old Fart ![]() | I too prefer Buckmarks. For the same reasons Silver stated. Mine shoots awful nice! Now if I could find a real old ruger....
