Billy, I have to agree with what you said. I joined right after the Virgina Tech shooting. There are very powerful groups in the united states that want to disarm all us and I want to stand together with those that oppose those groups. By allo means Join and contribute to the NRA. Midway USA and Brownells both offer options to add a small amount of money to your order to support the NRA. click and send them a dollor.

NRA LIFE MEMBER..

It's not perfect, but politicians DO LISTEN to what the NRA says, and even fear it a little (and us as a group). If you own a gun, GET ACTIVE whatever group you support. We are all in the same boat, even if we are bailing water against each other at times.

Instead of buying a case of beer, or a nice dinner....support your cause. No doubts there...it's well worth it.

Also send a contribution every month...it may not always be what they ask for but every bit helps...if every member just sent them $10 a month it would really pile up!

I've been a member for years and quit renewing 2 years ago.

I'll take care of it tommarow and maybe by confessing I had quit maybe others will join me and rejoin or join.

I might add the reason I didn't renew I was watching a program about the NRA that was produced by the NRA.
I was appalled by some of the crazy, radical people that was on the show...A.H

I was a working member of the NRA from 69 till 98. Now I am a working member of the GOA.
A working member is someone like NRAJoe. Don't just join, get involved. Push what you believe in and stand for. Don't just give some money and expect someone else do the work for you.
Be sure to vote in the primary.

+1.

The NRA has passed more gun control in my state than the Democrats.

I am a member of the NRA and will be until 2009 after which I may switch to GOA Unless the NRA cleans up their act and stops "compromising" with our 2d amendment rights!
