Walther disassembly questions

I recently purchased a Walther P22. Love it, but trying to break it down and reassemble it is next to impossible. The retired cop who is teaching me with range safety and shooting had a really tough time. Even he's not sure how he got it back together. That leaves little hope for me at this point. Is there a manual, or website that would clear this up?
Wish the thing had come with Care and Feeding Instructions, LOL.
Thanks.

you have to pull the disassembly button off in front of the trigger guard, it just slides down and off, the you pulll the slide to the rear and up and it slides off to the front, in order to reaasemble there is a little black rod that came with the gun, it slides inside the recoil spring so when you pull the slide to the rear to re insert the slide it compresses the spring into the guide rod hole in front t of the slide, it is very tough without that little black rod about 3 inches long

Thanks! I don't think he was using the rod. (Ain't that a familiar complaint, LOL)

I copied that info for myself and forwarded it to my friend. Tomorrow is range day!

Much appreciated.
