NEW BAIT!

Hey guys, I have been trying to get some photos of some grey fox or maybe even coyotes around my house, I have about 750 acres of heavily wooded hilly land. The rest are 2 cattle farms and some people around here dont take to kindly to people trespassing. But I reckon we have coyotes becasue there everywhere. We actually in my whole road area have all together about 3600 acres of woodland! But getting back on point I have a german shepard, really good dog. But she shows her wild side everyonce and a while! She has hunted 2 raccoons, 1 oppossum, And a squrriel. But We thought the dead squrriel along with some sardines in fish oil would be a good attractent, also A few days ago we dumped a carton of old eggs out, the shells and some yoke are still there,so What do you guys think would be a good food baised bait, or would this work,thanks.

Any "baiting" might just get your behind in a sling with Wildlife Commission. Be careful.

Next the game that will approach, coon, opossum, turtle, bugs, ants, fox, farm dogs, feral cats, and the list gets bigger and bigger.

The best thing to attract fox or coyote is the same scents as we use on traps,such as musks and urines.You poke a small hole in the ground and pour the scent in.One of the best that is easily available is red fox cover scent.The problem with any kind of edible scent is it draws everything in and gets eaten.Basically only preditors check the urine lure and they dont eat it.You still have to wear rubber boots and gloves. sam.

I have had good luck with the entrails from gutted dear, this tip was given to me by a NC wildlife officer. you are aloud to bait for coyote in NC.

I securely wired the remaines of a deer carcass to a tree, set up my cuddeback camera and got several coyotes, bobcats, red tailed hawks, opossums, you name it. Im in Ky., and did the same with cow carcass. Just curious what was around, and enjoy taking the pics.

Several of my friends and I use deer carcasses for bait. Check with your local state and county highways departments. Ask them to call you if they have any deer hit by vehicles. If they will let you have them, it will save them the trouble of having to bury them. The deer work great. You could even set up the new trail-cams to get all of the pictures you want.
