The only thing I know about the Remington Genesis is that its quite a bit more expensive.Than the Gamo Whisper. Gamo makes a good rifle,so if you don't mind the cost I'd say the Gamo. Of course you could always go with the Gamo Shadow. The Shadow is a good rifle and cheaper than the Whisper.

Gamo SHADOW 1000 COMBO. Air rifles - PyramydAir.com

You shouldn't shoot our little birds feller they don't bother no body except maybe one will chit on you, but how often does that happen ?
And it is more than likely illegal.
Being gun owners we need to act responsible and respectful.

Remington Genesis is the one ya want. It would be nice to let the birds alone and stick with the targets...... thats of course unless your planning to eat them. I tried a pigeon once when i was 12 or so it tasted real bad. Have not shot one since, nor any other tweeties. Now the ground hogs taste pretty good, like chicken, are you gonna wack any of those? Cause if ya don't eat it, thats also a waste, maybe just stick to them thar targets, its just as much fun. Keep us posted in what ya decide on those two fine guns.
And listen to the ArkansaHunter he ain't steared anyone in the wrong direction.

ive ate ground hog, first time i skinned a animal, so it was pretty cut up, but all-in-all it was very good. asfar as the birds they eat my dog's food.. and some other animals chew on my house
Please remember i am only looking at the .22 version

Around where I live we have starlings and many other birds, if you don't wack em' with something they'll ruin everything with their droppings. I have a friend who raises cattle and if you let them hang around cattle they'll make cow pens even more disgusting, and they spread diseases to animals. So in conclusion sometimes you have to wack em'.

DID YOU READ ALL THE REVIEWS THERE WAS A LOT OF BAD REVIEWS ON THIS ONE I WOULD GO WITH THE GAMO, OR THE CROSSMAN QUEST.I HAVE THE CROSSMAN IN .177 AND IT IS VERY ACCURATE.

The Crossman quest is also a good choice. Did ya ever hear about the owl or hawk decoys they scare the be begeeebers out of the pesty little fellers. And maybe they would think twice about eating the dog food. They are priced anywhere in the twenty dollar and up range! Good luck with the decision ya make.

if i had to pick between the remington or the gamo i'd pick the gas spring gamo, however if your doing ground hogs i'd go with a rifle in 22cal.like a gamo cfx combo 22cal.800fps with scope $219 or a rws 34 or 350 mag in 22cal. both from pyramyd air. i own a beeman r-7 in 20cal. got it from pyramyd last year.
