Having no claim as a combat vet my choice maybe considered wrong but,assuming this small army will have to stand against a superior force i doubt you would want to intentialy meet the enemy head on?I would think you would want to fight a guerrilla/insurgency type war? taking into consideration availability of supplies, I'm wondering if semi/fully auto rifles would be the best way to go? Don't get me wrong I enjoy both the L1a1 and M1A but, would it be practical? based on the resources available? and the type of engagements one might encounter? I would think one would attempt to pick their battles,when they can? to their advantage when technology is at it's weakest? yes acquire what you can as you progress and use it towards your adversary.But as a standard issue L1A1 M1A/M14 I don't know, wouldn't it be better to use the ammunition that your adversary uses?
