+1 on the Ohio Ordnance BAR. Thought about selling some guns off to get the cash for it, but why bother, I would only have to buy those guns back later. It's a cry for help, really.

We should form a chapter of 12 step for people addicted to firearms.

"Hi, my name is Tex and I am a Firearms addict." "HI, TEX!!"

I bought my first shotgun at the age of 18. It was all downhill after that. First it was a 410 then a 20g. Next thing I knew I was fondling a 30-06 at a gun show. My life was out of control.:0 9:

My wish list was missing M1A, and a few others. I think the Mosin m44 is my next, wow it's not even on my list either. Better leave my own post, the wheels are turning and the wallet is in sight.

I have learned to do plenty of research before buy and I think think this forum is great place to start.

Add to the wish list:

A bullpup SKS or AK-47
A Mosin M38 or the Finnish equivalent
A Walther PP in .380 ACP
A shooting-grade Luger
A shooting-grade Walther P-38/P-1
(saw one on gunbroker.com someone had bobbed to turn it into an U.N.C.L.E. Special recently)
FEG PA-63 with checkered walnut grips
Rack-grade M-1 Garand
Mossberg 500 with 18-inch barrel and ghost ring sights
M-1A in .308/7.62 NATO
LeMat revolver remanufactured for .45 Colt and 12 Gauge
Taurus Judge with 5 inch barrel
Shooter-grade Colt Model 1917 in .45 ACP

Stop me before I spend again....

Good list Cyrano, I missed quite a few.

I just shortend my original list by one today, the Thompson is off now.

I found an Auto-Ordinance pre Kahr Arms Thompson M1 at a dealer. Looks like brand new.

I only stopped to get ammo and cleaning supplies, and it followed me home. Funny how that happens.

I think Tex has a good point about a chapter of 12 step for people addicted to firearms.

Insanity is doing the same things over and over expecting different results.

I went into a Gander Mountain a few months back for the sole purpose of using the bathroom. Next thing you know I was walking out with a Savage 99R in 300 savage!

I understand your pain. LOL!

My current wish list is the following.

A 28'' Barrel for my Mossberg 930 Turkey shotgun...Would rather have 26" but they don't have one in matte black.

A New concealed carry semi auto pistol. Which one is undecided.

A Marlin XLR leveraction in 35 Remington caliber.

A Mossberg or Maverick 20'' barrel with extended magazine pump shotgun.

A SKS.

A 1911 pistol.

Wow Sarge, I like your list because it's out of reach for me.

Tex, I can see we are on the same page in the same book.. The good part is my wife is ok with it. I'll have to get her something nice in the next couple of days.

I can see why Billy doesn't like keeping a wish list, It can be fun but your imagination tends to run wild.. I like the SAA Colt .45, I have a pair of BP Walker Colts that are fun to shoot, the loading part takes me awhile.

The Thompson shots great, very heavy for it's size at 13lbs. I know it's just a .45 pistol round, but I have several rifles for the long stuff. The Tommy Gun and M1 Carbine are two of my favorite shooters, well I'll take that back they all are fun. The Fn Fal, AR15, Ak-47, Ar 180, M1 Garand, Savage Enfield Mark 4, Mosin Nagant 91/30, K98, SKS, Mossberg 590 are all fun to shoot.

Thumbs up

I don't want a half track, but I do want the items on my list! Unfortunately IF I ever came across most of these it is very doubtful I could afford it.
I have to have something to look foreward to or dream about because I have Almost all of the lesser MGs - Thompson, BAR, Sten, Bren, MP 40, MP 43, MP 44, StG 44, MG 34, MG 42, M14, FN/FAL select fire, MAC 10, Danish Madson M50 - seems like something else, but?
Most of the above are functional weapons and I shoot several on a regular basis. I have more than one of several of these. Here is a couple of examples.
