New Taurus P911 Owner

I am a new member to the forum.. I am also new to the Taurus family but have other guns and have been shooting for quite a while. I haven't seen any threads on the P911 9mm and am looking for informaton. I was at my local gun store looking for something else and this Stainless Taurus caught my eye. It has a nice trigger and shoots well. No FTE's, or FTF's so far with 400 rds fired. It looks like there are some real Taurus bashers on the forum.....this is something that I will never understand....but they come in all shapes and bashers are everywhere.

Ruger P95, Ruger 10-22, Ruger MKII, KelTec P3AT, High Standard 1911 and Taurus P911

She'll get used to it! Ya gotta remember that she's only been shooting for about a month or so now, so once she gets some more trigger time under her belt she'll be shooting the .45 as well as she does her 9mm!

As for me, I love the thing! That laser sight is BAD!

The laser intimidates some shooters. Especially when they see how unstable their point of aim is. Nothing like a wavering red spot to make them even more nervous. I love the fact I can punch the bulls and not even have to raise the pistol to eye level. And can acquire the target a heck of a lot faster.

But everybody should have at least one 1911!

But back to the subject, a P911. First I thought it was a misprint and they meant the 1911, but no, it's a 9mm.

Nice looking shooter TOMGUNNER!! I have a Taurus Mil Pro PT111 9mm I adore, but man I like the looks of that go bang you have there. I will have to check that out. I have three Taurus's now ( and very happy with all ), looks like it may be four before long...Good luck and welcome aboard the site..

I got a PT911 for Xmas, they're a great gun. My wife got the stainless model with the gold accents/trim and white pearl handles, looks too pretty to shoot. What I don't like is the latest models have a squared off picatinny rail on the bottom of the frame for laser sights, etc., sort of ruins the gun's lines, but I can live with it.

Here's a picture of it you can drool over:
