staff cannot bring a fire- arm on prison grounds,only authorized CO's who are assigned to certain posts carry weapons these post are in places were inmates have no access or are placed in restraints and being transported.weapons and ammo are issued you don't just bring your favorite shot gun to work.If you fear for your safety and carry enroute to work and home you can secure your weapon at the prison armory before entering the prison and p/u on your way home!
