what happens if i get denied for a gun?

I don't have reason to believe this will happen, but they can make up any reason they want, so I'm just asking if i get denied does it make it a lot harder to get a gun somewhere else? i put a deposit on a shotgun recently and am waiting for the waiting period to pass. The registration forms still have to clear, so what happens if i get denied? (I filled those forms out pretty quickly.)

FIRST OFF ARE YOU A CONVICTED FELON?
IF NOT THEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
IF YOU ARE THEN PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY GUNS.

What state are you in? Every state is different on who they will sell a gun to. Sounds like you're somewhere strict if you have a waiting period. California or Northeast somewhere?

A courtmartial conviction also makes you ineligible!

Nope none of that - not even a traffic violation, which is lucky because i drive fast occasionally
But even still if they deny me for some reason once does that mean i can't get a gun anywhere else? can i fight it in court? can i ask why they denied my application?

I would take them to court in a heart beat because there violating my constitutional right.
And if I won I would sue them because I'm sick of this B.S...A.H

Loveguns, if you have none of the convictons that members listed, then you have nothing to worry about.

We do have laws in place to prevent what you are worried about from happening-if you have a clear record, you have the green light for a firearms purchase.

If for some astronomical reason they do deny you a gun for a reason they created, take AH's advice.

Why are you even concerned about being denied?

If you are clean as you say you are then you have nothing to worry about. If you have beaten your wife or kids, been busted for drugs or have a shady past then you have everything to worry about.

They don't make up reasons, usually the reasons are valid and if they are not you have a right to appeal and challenge their verdict. They may make a mistake and that is human. So if you are clean and have a outstanding record, you should be approved and probably will get some brochures to join the local clubs.

Good Luck

I think what we're trying to say is STOP WORRYING! Get on with life and don't sweat the small stuff. I've been delayed twice in the last two years, due to glitches in the system. But the dealers always called and said, "Come and get it!"

You should be fine, as long as you dont have any priors. Here in Colorado it only takes 10 minutes to buy a gun!

Article 15

Seebee: Sir; it's a good thing Article 15's don't count.
Started as a zero and finished as a zero.
Damn near wore my shirts out until I got me some 'Velcro'
Throwed me to the curb; H Under H conditions plum dang nakeded.

Pay scale: highest .11 cent per hour
.7 cent was where I hovered
and they wondered what was wrong with me

We called 'em NJP in the Navy, and yep, had a couple, and a couple restricted to quarters. OWWWWWWWWWW, hurt me! That was the safest place to be in RVN at the time! They never figured it out!

Wouldn't it depend on the "courtmartial" charge? I know all dishonorable discharges result in a denial.
