Trigger Adjustment

I am hopeing for some help,I have a sako .270,Not sure of model but would love to find out-says AV on the side.I need instructions for adjusting the trigger. It is currently at 5 pounds and would really like it to be at 3 pounds. The heavier trigger pull has my long range shots suffering.Any info would be great.

Did you buy it new? If so, there is some literature that shows how. If not, let me know and I could email it to you. If I still have it????

Bought it used about 15 years ago,I have the action/barrel sitting on the work center ready to go.Just need to know what and what direction. My A-Bolt and Winchester 70 were much more simplistic.Although with the factory adjustment I can only obtain just under 4 pounds on the browning.I have the Lyman digital to check the pull. Thanks

Go to :: S A K O :: click on manuals at top, click on any model that has L in it, such as L61. scroll down until you see the trigger diagram.

Thanks,Just what I needed. Is there a way to determine the model I have.I always thought it was a Lightweight Hunter but not sure,It does have the glossy finish on the furniture.Just started using this rifle again as I went from a leupold 3x9x40 varix-1 to a Nikon monarch 3.5x10x50-I absolutly was dissapointed in the Nikon so used other rifles,Now that I have removed the Nikon and put it on a rimfire and replaced it with a 3.5x10x56 VX-L The sako is again the star player.Again,Thanks for the info.
