Winchester pre 64 70 westerner question

Hi all,
I have a few questions regarding the Pre 64 model 70 westerner .264 mag standard rifle not the featherweight. Did this gun come with a factory installed recoil pad or black plastic butt plate or both? What is the correct length of pull for both?

The LOP is 13 1/2" and they came with a black plastic buttplate. If it has a factory Winchester pad, it is possible it was special ordered.

How do you like the 264 Mag?

I like it alot. Its accurate, flat shooting, easy on my shoulder, and has all the power I need for everything from pronghorn to elk and moose with the right bullets. I think it's the best kept secret out there.

Thats great. I am thinking about building one. But I have to find a good winchester action first. How did you get your hands on a pre 64?

Not likely though. Winchester pads were available and many found their way onto the mags. I have a 300H&H with one, not factory , I installed it.
