| 10-22, firing pin
I have an older 10-22 and have started having a problem with misfires. I "think" I'm getting a decent strike on the shell rim but I've had failures with both Federal and Remington 22s - differant "fresh" bricks. How common is this problem (weak striker spring?) and how hard is it to fix? Anyone have a link to an online owner's manual for this rifle?

there is no striker spring. its most likely the ammo.

More times than not, it is a cleaning issue...Gunk in the bolt and firing pin channel...and in the receiver. Rich

yes, it doesnt sound like you've ever had the bolt out of the gun. a good scrubbing may help. i will stand by the ammo though, if your using bulk pack ammo, that is part of the problem.
