Please read . . . .

I was born and raised in the desert oil fields of West Texas where we heard coyotes running and singing almost every night. A coyote is not a dog in the sense most people experience dogs. They are much more intelligent, have phenominal hearing, smell, and taste, and are
truly "attuned" to their environment. This is why most calls and recordings rarely, if ever, work. Many people hunt coyotes but few have success (although you would not know this from bragging and gun magazines). It is not a walk in the woods to hunt coyotes. It can be done but realize it takes a lot of time, energy, and development of expertise to be good at it.
