I've had good success over the years calling a variety of critters in with calls of various types and I too found nathangdad's statement lacking either credibility or a lack of skill will the calls he has used in either event I disagree with his statement that "Calling rarely if ever works with Coyotes" His statements about the coyotes attributes are correct in that they can be (if under regular hunting pressure) extremely hard to take, However the coyotes greatest asset to survival is also what makes calling effective for those who really know how it's done and that is a Coyote's inate curiosity the animal simply cannot resist checking something out that interests him. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it also often kills the coyote!
