| Senior Member  | I used to do spot work with a friend who worked at a morturary, on occasion he would need help recovering a cadaver from a hospital or morgue and would call on me to assist. We were once transporting one such recently deceased fellow back to the morturary to be prepared for burial, when in the back of the station wagon for whatever reason that poor soul sat up body bag and all (he had not been autopsied) and then slowly lay back to his original position. Evidently the person had not been dead long and my friend while I was trying to avoid the soil in my Levis explained to me that rarely such reactions did happen, and they were nothing to be concerned by. Whatever I never (I was 17 at the time) went to help him again after that convinced the undead were simply awaiting the right moment and that feller just got impatient!

Most zombie theories come from a Virus that spreads and infects humans through a fluid transfer. There have been no reports of an airborne virus yet, that would devastate us all. An already dead body is useless to the virus. I think people are fascinated by zombies for several reasons. The survival aspect is always part of it, and the human nature aspect. How far are you willing to go to survive? Would you kill anyone and anything that got in your way? Would you sell out your best friend? Remember the biggest threat during a zombie apocalypse is not the undead, it is the living. The living will betray you, use you, kill you, rob you, and leave you high and dry to fend for yourself. Only for the sake of saving their own skin. A common theme you see in zombie films is that there is always someone who betrays the rest of the survivors for their own personal gain. Then it makes you think how bad are we really as living beings? Are we that evil that we would sacrifice all hope that is left for our species to just save ourself? I have studied zombies for a long time. Read books, watched films, read comics, surfed the interwebs, etc. I even came up with some escape routes to get the hell out of the city when it goes down. On a full moon nite; kick them dogs out and wait a few minutes.  the race will be onCome about sun-up after chasing and being chased all nite; tell me hounds weren't running zombies. Full moons are the worst. Dogs ell get em to a tree and BOOM they gone; and it's on again; edges of swamps are the worst. Big old splashing, sloggin, dem gurgglin noises, jumping out of trees, splashing about. They are there  A full moon coon hunters night; with the critters of the night.
