My Gear checklist...

I havent given alot of thought to this subject until recently. Thought I might make a list of what I need, acquire it as quickly as possible. Here is my list tell me if you think Im forgetting anything of extreme value.

1. Rifle w/open sights(10/22 for example)
2. Shotgun (preferably a upland or HD model with a short barrel)
3. Ammo for both guns.
4. Fishing equipment(one of those compact telescopic outfits you can get at wal-mart complete with all the fixings)
5. A fixed blade type survial knife.
6. A game cleaning kit
7. Rope at least 100 yards worth
8. 2-Compass's
9. Canteen & a few gallons of water
10. MRE's, Canned and Dry Good(figure a few boxes of instant Oatmeal would be nice)
11. Coleman lantern
12. Coleman single cooking surface
13. 3-5 Coleman propain tanks
14. Small set of cooking untensil and eating ware. Maybe 1 mid size skillet
15. 2-5 gallons of water
16. Binoculars
17. Water Proof Matchs
18. Extra socks and underwear
19. Extra pair of shoes, preferably another pair of Rocky Boots, but if all I can get is a pair of Converse Chuck Tailors then so be it.
20. 2-3 tarps
21. 2-3 Thermal Blankets
22. small am/fm radio
23. my cell phone until it dies(never know might have time to locate a few close family members power in numbers)
24. toilet paper or wet wipes(never know it might be winter when SHTF)
25. extra jacket, poncho, gloves, toboggan
26. The Bible
27. Small Hatchet.
28. multi-tool

Probably need 2-3 very large bags to carry it all and will leave a trail behind as it starts to get heavy if I continue to run once Im in the woods. But as Ive heard most say once you enter the woods ppl wont be as likely to come after you.

rather heavy load if your carrying all that on your back????If you can store that and more in a vehicle and plan on setting up camp close to your vehicle or have a secure area you can stash all that gear and return as needed then great!!! when I lived in AZ i was able to take my 4x4 into a lot of places and was able to set up a base camp and go from there? I was lucky never had anything stolen or damaged, today, I don't know ????
