We may be adopting soon.

No it's not what y'all might think, least not quite.

Rosso is in need of a new home, and as I understand we are on the rather short list of prospective families.
The fellow who had him made a couple of complaints and then returned him to the breeder. This after nearly four years with the dog.
Rescue e-mailed me today with the breeders contact info which we hope will lead to a meeting with her and Rosso.

Keep y'alls fingers crossed for us.

You can't delete it. We will be paying you a visit, shortly Suggest you have cash in hand, when you answer the door, to offset any disciplinary action that might be applicable.

Rocco is a Spinone Italiano. Spinns are a rather old versatile sporting breed.
Let me see if I can access my pic's on this machine, I have a good profile of my two year old Lenny. That's also him in my avatar, with his second most favorite toy.

Thanks Arkansas, but let's not jump the gun. We still need to meet with the breeder and then measure up to her approval. Spinn breeders are rather particular who they place their puppies and rehome their rescue dogs with.

Spinonis are great hunters. I hunted over three of them in October in South Dakota, and they did an excellent job! He may be too old to become a really good hunter, but you never know. If you have a mind to try, they learn quickly and are enthusiastic about cold-weather hunting.

Oh Yes, I certainly intend to train him. I'm a firm believer that, within reason, any dog of any age can be taught do do most anything. Of course I'm not good enough to teach one how to write his name.
