| +1 on sending it back to Glock if the gunsmith can't solve your problems. I'm assuming you tried interchanging different magazines (other than the ones that came with the gun) with the gun to make sure it wasn't due to a bad magazine(s).
I don't completely agree on letting magazines sit with ammo. Although I don't beleive this significantly distorts the spring, I HAVE had ammo hang up while firing using double stack magazines after the ammo has sat for some time (although only in .45 and never in the Glock). Not sure why, maybe the cases get a little distorted or there is some memory effect.
The Glocks are probably the most reliable pistol in terms of functioning I've ever owned (1 stoppage in several thousand rounds). If yours isn't performing to your confidence level, I think the factory should fix--just make sure to give them a detailed description of the problem.
Actually, I've had enough autos hang up in my life that I've switched to revolver for CCW. This is just me, and maybe wouldn't fit alot of folks' situations.
