Welcome to the site. First things first. "claiber" is the diameter of the bore, expressed in hundreths of an inch. In your case 22-250 is your chosen cartridge. Being .22 inches in diameter,thus a 22 caliber. The 250 stands for the parent cartridge it was derived from, which was a 250-3000 Savage. Savage and Remington manufacture firearms and the 12f and the 700 sps varmint are model numbers, either of which you will not go wrong if you purchase. Good luck on the varmints.
