500mag

i mounted a scope on my 500mag then i went out to shoot it i fired 15 rounds and noticed that the mount had slid forward due to the kick does anyone know of a special mount that i could use that will hold up to the force of the kick?

remove the scope and put some locktite in the ring halves and tighten it up good it will stop it from moving, as far as locktite there is a red a blue a green a yellow, some are for screws other is for shaft and bearing mount and so forth i always used the red and blue no problems

How did you feel about the recoil after 15 rounds?

i tried the blue locktite when mounting it the first time. a gunsmith mounted it the second time with what he said were stronger screws and the same thing happened.
oh a mechanics glove helps alot to save your hand.
