| Member | 500mag i mounted a scope on my 500mag then i went out to shoot it i fired 15 rounds and noticed that the mount had slid forward due to the kick does anyone know of a special mount that i could use that will hold up to the force of the kick? |

| Senior Member | remove the scope and put some locktite in the ring halves and tighten it up good it will stop it from moving, as far as locktite there is a red a blue a green a yellow, some are for screws other is for shaft and bearing mount and so forth i always used the red and blue no problems

| Member | i tried the blue locktite when mounting it the first time. a gunsmith mounted it the second time with what he said were stronger screws and the same thing happened. oh a mechanics glove helps alot to save your hand. |
