| My experience is that you can spend a lot of money chasing the accuracy that a Savage will give you right out of the box. I have a Cooper 223 WSSM that I have a ton of money wrapped up in. My brother has a Savage heavy barreled 25-06 that he has 450 total in. We go to our range and punch paper all the time. I have put a ton of work in hand loading for my Cooper to get under a half inch MOA at 100 yards. My brother loaded up a test batch of 25-06 laid down and shot a sub MOA group right away. With very little tinkering he is shooting one ragged hole three shot groups. Drives me crazy but it has also made me a huge fan of Savage rifles. |
