| Winchester 94 1949 pricing Have an offer of a trade that will get me a Winchester 94 made in 1949 for $350. Seriel number is 15750xx. It is described as being in very good condition, bluing 85%, no cracks in stock, not refinished, shoots fine, same owner past 7 yrs. Has a rear Wiiliams peep sight. I am not that knowledgeable about Winchesters, but based on what I am seeing on gunbroker, this seems pretty good. Any thoughts? I am still getting the length of the barrel and overall length from the seller. Here is a link to photos. share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0FZsmbNu2YspW |

| From the photo I would have to agree. But be careful and ask a lot of questions about the gun. I had a bad experience on gun broker and did not find out for a couple months.

| Personally, no . . . Personally, I would not make the purchase at that price as you are not a Winchester collector/afficianado. There are some really high quality hunting rifles new to the market not that far away from the price asked for this gun. In my opinion they offer far superior cartridge choices to the Wincherster .30-30, are more accurate at any distance, and are configured to accepting a scope which your gun is not configured to do. However, this is a forum and I am fairly certain you will get other opinions. So, whatever your choice in the future I wish you good luck and good hunting. |

| Super Moderator ![]() | Any time you can pickup a Winchester pre-64 for that price , grab it. They are skyrocketing in price as collector guns since they will not be made anymore...New ones are 450 up now...pre-64 guns will bring higher prices, keep it in the best condition you can... Rich

| Drilled If a 1949 M94 has a peep sight then the receiver was tapped for it after it left the factory. As such, it has little true collector value but $350 for a nice M94 is still pretty good if you want a 94. |
