| Canadian gun, not anywhere near $1,000 unless it is absolutely mint. Condition is key for price and being original. Original sights, not drilled and tapped and no sling stud or holes. I have bought and sold around 4 or 5 in the last year. Low of $175 and a high of $475. The $475 gun was really nice, but it had a chip out of the butt stock behind the tang. Is it a take down? Straight lever or pistol grip? Post a serial number with the last 2 digits xx out and I can tell you the date of manufacture.
I'm guessing a 1899H, take down, 20" barrel, serial number in the high 100,000 to low 200,000.
The shells are worth $35 - $40 per box so you got more than your money's worth there! |
