fox hunting

im going to try to do a little fox and rabbit hunting soon and i was wonderng if you can take a fox out with a .22 mossberg plinkster i know it will take a rabbit but im not sure about a fox or coon also what is the best .22 lr round that you guys have found that works the best like hyper sub-sonic velocities and what grams of powder thanks.

I would say yes to the 22 dropping a fox if you hit it properly.

Are you looking for hyper velocity, sub-sonic or a sub-sonic that's really, really slow?

If'n yer lookin' for hyper velocity I've found the CCI MiniMag and Yellowjackets to be very effective (I'm having a massive brain fart, can't think who makes Yellowjackets and I don't currently have a box here to look at.)

well the rifle says it will take standard, high, hyper-velocities ammo,im just wondering which one will have the best accuracy and kill power

fishnfool1991 for fox I would use Cci velcitors. They are .22 LR Hypervelcity, and I think they work better than the stingers. They will knock out a fox, but that is the limit! Asphalt cowboy Remington makes yellow jackets but I would much rather use a velcitor on them. CCI - Home

I would buy a few different types of ammo, and see what your gun shoots the best.

im debating on veloceters and stingers and federal has a round called game load so ill just test them out like you said
