I am surprised none of the guys replied to your inquiry. I love my THOMPSON/CENTER ENCORE. Do you already have one?

Just about any of the modern in line muzzle loaders are accurate out to 250 yards. I would go with something that fits your particular desires. The knights are good the T/C's are good, The CVA's are good the Remingtons are good and on down the line. If you are looking for extreme stuff there are custom folks out there that specialize in muzzle loaders. Some you can change barrels/calibers on so get what will suit you and your budget.

I figured no need to try and BS him when I have to limit my shots to 40 yards to humanely kill a deer due to my peeps nowadays.

250 yards wow.....even with a scope it's beyond my skill.
This buck was 39 yards out. Even in better days 100 yards was the limit for me.

Yaaaaa...even with the scope eye piece screwed out all the way now on most of my Leupolds the crosshair is not crisp anymore.

Fortunately Leupold has that heavy crosshair they offer and I have been slowly replacing it in my scopes through their recticle change custom shop for around $60.00 each.

That fat crosshair should get me another 10 years I hope.

A question MALLARD, are you needing a 250yd weapon due to average hunting requirements, or like me, just love to shoot?

Killer, i'm puttin a LEUPOLD 4.5X14X40 LONG RANGE VXIII SIDE FOCUS W/ VARMINTER RETICAL on my encore next week.

Oh by the way, nice buck.

How do I get an avatar?

To contact me, singleshooter300@yahoo.com.

KILLER, is that a hawkins repro???

Hey KILLER, too many security doors at your site. Don't play like that anymore. EMail me. I have 10 ac's in northern mitten. Love the outdoors.

It's a Lyman Great Plains 1 in 60 twist I think. Designed for balls only. It was a lung hit (perfect broadside.)

Not following you on the security doors on my website. What problem did you have getting on it? The rat shack is 2 miles west of the Split Rock Lighthouse. We've been there since 1989. No doubt we pass one another on the roads going back and forth.

HEY GUYS. I am happy to say earlier today I placed my LEUPOLD 4.5x14x40 SF LONGRANGE VXIII, in layaway. Got a pretty good price on it too. $593.00 plus tax for $629.00. That was $50 cheaper than SWFA.
