| "Blazing Saddles" GOV ![]() | flybynight, is it an over/under 16 Ga. shotgun? Are the barrels 28" and marked "winchester prof steel" variable chokes and the serial number leads with a "K" ? If memory serves correctly, it cannot be a rifle (ownership rules in the UK) ... but can be a shotgun, correct? |

| Senior Member ![]() | Cant find any Win.in a m400.They have OU,s in 91,96,99,101,and 501.Guess you will have to deal with the real expert,Mooseman.I would give him the serial# and I am confident he will find it.The prices on Win.OU,s is from respectful to high.A PS on this, can you train one of those birds to go after Billy,s avatar? sam. |

| Registered User | Maybe it is a Sears Ted Williams 400? I don't know shotguns, but maybe this is a help. WikiAnswers - If a 12 gauge Model 400 superimposed shotgun was made by Winchester for Sears and would really be a Winchester Model 101 where would you find any reference to <b style="color:black;bac |

| Registered User | Well, I searched the internet to see if I could help you out. Found a few references to Sears Ted Williams 400 shotguns. Included an internet address for you to follow for information. Hit the REPLY button SEND button whichever posts it here for you, and saw briefly before it left the screen that an administrator would preview my post and see if it was up-to-snuff for public review. Haven't seen my post since then. So ? Try researching the Ted Williams Sears shotgun? (Now we'll see if this post is acceptable for viewing!) --Hey, this one went through. I wonder what was so spooky about my prior post? Last edited by FromTheWoods; 02-09-2008 at 02:06 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

It's getting to be a real problem now with the Anti-gun culture in the UK. The Foot & Mouth & blue tongue problems don't help either as many farmers do not want strangers wandering all over their farms. Cold calling round the farms might bear some fruits but whatever you do, do not cold call with a weapon in your posession! I'm not to sure about English law but I do know that the only trespass law in Scotland is "Trespass with a Firearm". If you have any contacts who are farmers or related to farmers, use them. Check out the shooting organisations, there is possibly a field sports club of some sort relatively close to you; check out the shooting mags for info on clubs in your area. Check out the local gunshops for info. Also check out the laws on vermin & game shooting; vermin like Rabbits & rats are OK; squirrels are a no-no as can be Rooks & Crows under certain circumstances and game has it's own peculiar laws. Probably the only wild game you might find would be hares, duck & geese and trying to take them with an airgun would be a real challenge. Good luck & let us know how you get on. Check out the BASC website. Last edited by wunhunglo; 02-17-2008 at 02:20 AM. Reason: Further info | |
