I live in California and when I sent for mine I really did not expect to get one… There is a question where they want your hunting license number and they state without it, you will most like not get a C&R… I wrote a little note under the question saying that I like to target practice and I don’t hunt… A month later it showed up… I was shocked… Now I assume that they know that I have a proper safe because that was one of the questions when buying a gun from a FFL dealer… It is the only way for me to go out here because the FFL dealers out here charge $70.00 a pop for a transfer fee… My guess this that it has gone so high is because you have to have a storefront to get a FFL out here now… My feels is you better get what you can now because down the line, what you have, maybe thee only thing you get to keep…

Good question, I'd like to know that answer myself, guys.

Noel, I was advised by my FFL who coached us through the application process that the hunting license request part of it, I think that is question 10, only pertains to immigrant status citizens.

If I'm not mistaken, guns HAVE to be delivered to the address on the license by law.. So if you're buying and having one delivered to you, you're going to need to have the address updated on your license.
I haven't gone in and looked for the actual ruling, but I remember seeing somewhere that if you move you have to contact BATF to get the address changed..

I'm sure someone will have the actual ruling on this..

I hate to admit it but I went blind when I opened my C&R regulation manual… You should see me at the range… Everybody hits the dirt when I load up… Joke, Joke… No really you have to be a lawyer who can read it and still stay awake while your reading it… BORING

On the license itself it says you must contact them 30 days prior to you moving.

There is a form you fill out for a change of address.

awesome... i knew all arms are required to be sent to the address on the license... I was just hoping the process for updating the address was straightforward- without having to start over.
thanks!!
