Century Int. Arms M91/30 Bolt 7.62x54

I was thinking of buying one of these as I know where I can get one for $80 plus tax. Just wanting something to shoot once and a while at the range or parents farm.

Anybody have one or know anything about them?
Thanks!

Go to the Mosin Nagant forum, and learn about these rifles. I have 3 myself and love'em.

Check'em out at classicarms.us

Just get one. Many of us have them and love them. A warning: mosins are addictive!

Arkansas go buy yourself one before I buy one for you! Maybe the next time I go to Texas I'll bring my Mosins with me and swing through Arkansas and let you shoot mine. I am sure you will be addicted after that fireball spews from the barrel!

Any firearm Century has had their hands on is suspect. No matter what the price.

I had just about talked myself into a mosin, but i figured for a 100 bucks more i could get another k-31. I just need unlimited funds. I've handled a few and all are pretty crude, but for the price i doubt you can go wrong.

I just got one myself and I cant wait till I can pick it up. Same thing, got mine for a little over $120 out the door with tax and b.g.i. Not bad for a piece of history, huh?

From what I've seen on the forum, Mosins are like Lays Potato Chips: No one can have just one.

Or maybe owning Mosin-Nagants is kind of like the famous experiment where a scientist put two wire coathangers into an otherwise empty closet, closed the door and came back six months later to find a dozen hangers in it. You buy one, and then it needs a buddy to keep it company, and you leave the two of them in the gun safe for awhile because you're between spam cans of ammo. And then when you go to take one of them to the range, you look inside and find you have half a dozen Mosins waiting. They just kind of gravitate to their own kind, and the kind of people who enjoy shooting them.

I agree CY. A couple months ago I was wondering what the fascination was. I made the mistake of asking. Now as I sit I own 7. I went to a shop to buy an SKS I had been looking at for a while. I walk in look at the sks and then notice a 91/30 that I had not seen before. SKS is still at the store and a 32 tula 91/30 went home with me for half the price of the sks. Yes, 32 Tulas are pretty common but I have one tula and it is such a great Mosin that I had to buy that one. Plus, I just bought an M39 Sako with a B barrel and a laminated stock M38. To show the power of Mosins....I STILL have not even shot one! Every time I decide to go shoot it is snowing 10 inches! Dang!
