| Registered User | J-HOSS--M1 Grande Just found a springfield 06 in the 7111xxx Serial number series. Never fired, seal still on trigger and in a very large display wood box (like new). Has all the documents and copy of IKE's speech before Normandy Invasion. Does anyone know anything about these last 1944 guns produced by springfield. Thanks |

| Registered User | M1 Commemorative D-DAY #7111xxx---15 to much or to little--retail 2995--not my first lemon, if that is how it turns out. Called springfield and all parts are new not refurb. . Hey--I bought a IA1 CARBINE from same guy and I found out I liked the granad better so I traded for the garand. I also had one in the back of the closet and pulled it out and looked for the manufacturer name--was I surprised when I saw WINCHERTER under rear sight and it has round bolt and serial #57xxxx. Had to use mag.glass to see name. My son sent it to me about five years ago and I ran a few rounds and put it in closet(after cleaned) and never looked to see what kind it was. Knew nothing about these carbines then and little now, but learning. Thanks Carefule how you waggle your sharp tongue.you may cut your own throat//// Last edited by J-HOSS; 02-19-2008 at 11:06 AM.
