| Senior Member | My good friend has the M&P 45APC. I have shot it a few times and it is a great gun for the price. He has put maybe 500 rounds through it and has never had a single problem. I know quite a few other people that own the M&P's in all different calibers and I haven't heard a bad thing from any of them about them. |

| Registered User | I am a proud owner of a M&P.40. It is my favorite auto-loader. I also own a 1911, Kel-Tec and a Glock. I have heard that the early ones with the s/n range of MPA#### - MPB#### had a few problems and that S&W corrected most if not all the problems. Check out mp-pistols.com It is a M&P specific site... |

| Senior Member | I've owned a S&W M&P-9mm Fullsize since this past November, and love every bit of it. It fit my hand better than any other DAO Striker handgun, and is very accurate. I have close to 1000 rounds through it with Winchester Whitebox Bulk ammo, and it has never missed a beat. The trigger felt "gritty" at first, but that smoothed out dramatically after 100 rounds. It feels smooth now and breaks consistently every time. |

Same here. I planned on buying local, but it was way too expensive. I found one online for $430+shipping, which was still over $100 cheaper than at the local gun shop. | |

| Senior Member | I have four M&P pistols: 9mm, .40, .40 Compact, and a .45. I LOVE all of them! Never had any problems either other than the 45 doesn't like Blazer Brass ammo. All together a couple of thousand rounds shot - mostly WWB. Planning on reloading the .40 very soon. Also, they are very Left-hand shooting friendly! I had 2 XD's and traded them as they were a pain to shoot left handed. I'd like a .45 Compact but my recent contraction of "Mosinites" has put my funds a little low. (I also have S&W pistols being a Model 686 .357mag. and a 629 Classic .44 mag. The 686 has been shot about 5000 times and NEVER a problem!) If only Smith & Wesson would adopt me! ![]() |

| Registered User | I've always owned Glocks. glock 23, 17, and 34. My question is since construction work is in the hole, if I go back to Armed Security would u reccommend glock 17, or s@w mp9mil, or something else? I have no smith experience, but know and like the fact if i'm overtaken I can drop the magazine to disengage it. also read it has a handcuff key lock to disengage. What are the pro's and con's of each? would it also be good as an off duty ccw? where a good cheap place to ascertain? just looking for a good understanding? any recomended duty holsters? For the record I have served in US Army, and had correctional officer defensive tactics. thanks in advance for the input. |

| Registered User | well i checked 2 local le supply stores, gall's catalog, don humes, blackhawk, and gall's catalog. the ones who sold it, were out of stock. I've always carried one, and if m and p aren't user friendly or feasible why's it a shame i carry a glock. i believe blackhawk was the only real option as a holster but were out. |

| Senior Member | I picked up a used M&P 45ACP and so far so good. Sure is streamlined and I need three hands to field strip it. Accuracy is real good and with 185 jhp handloads shoots real well. |

| Senior Member | Blackhawk had to recall some of the Serpa Holsters for the M&P .45/Glock 20/21 high wall. I sent mine back Dec. 4 and just got the replacement back this past week. When they get caught back up they'll have plenty to sell. I LOVE mine and yues, it is worth the wait!
