I did find the code ayk indicates M. Rudolf Jahr in Gera, Germany. So then its a German-made barrel/action sold to the Spanish military. Well that's something anyway.

For collectors it obviously has no value without an original stock, especially since the end of the barrel was cut off to remove the front sight when it was tapped for a scope. But what's left of the Whitetail in my freezer will certainly argue against it being a mere "parts gun." But these are the reasons I only wanted some information or history, not a value.
