Taurus 85 + P

I have a new Taurus 85 ul, ser#ZD45767. i want to know if i can shoot + P amo in this? It does not say in the owners manual, i called Taurus and they did not sound very sure of themselves. Anybody?
Also what do you think of the Corbon hollow point amo?

I too read through my owners manual and didn't find anything about +P except in reference to the Titanium models. This did make me wonder about it and I was planning on calling Taurus myself to see what they would say. I will definitely call now that you didn't seem to get a very good answer...

As ClayMan said, the website claims it is rated for +P ammunition, and I can tell you that my local dealer claimed the same. As for whether or not any of this is actually true I don't know. One thing I can say from personal experience with the model 85 ultralite is that I was not at all satisfied with it. I bought one brand new not too long ago and during my first time at the range the cylinder assembly came off of the frame at a mere 35 rounds. Luckily I didn't lose the retaining screw and was able to reinstall it. I fired the remaining 15 rounds from a 50 round box and noticed that the screw had started to back out once again. I don't know if this is just some isolated incident with the particular firearm that I had, but nevertheless, I got rid of it. Hope your experience is better than mine.

I highly suspect the problem with your gun was isolated to that gun. I have purchased 4 Taurus revolvers and have not had a single issue with any of them. They are all high quality and accurate guns.

I've also had a Ruger SRH that had a screw (crane retainer?) that kept coming loose. A little drop of Lock-Tite and it was fixed.
