| Questions about the VZ-52 rifle...
Been kinda lookin at some VZ-52 rifles here and there and I've ALWAYS loved the look of them ever since I first saw one in a book I got when I was 15. Since then I've heard about some stuff about the stocks being cracked because how the trigger pack and receiver mate up, more that if it wasn't put back together correctly then it would cause cracks in the wooden stock to form. Then about how the original ammo is VERY scarce and the the conversions for the 7.62x39 round blow out or just suck for one reason or another and the list just continues, but mainly about the poor quality of the stocks and shortages of ammo. I'm wondering about their original reliability, accuracy, cost, and just how much fun can they be, or if they are even worth it? I figure some one on here oughta know. lol Any help, tips, ideas or what ever would be great! Thanks. |

I got one last month and just love it. It shoots straight and decent accuracy and not a lot of recoil. The Czech surplus can still be found albeit after a bit of looking and a bit pricey but I just led a group buy to get some dies made for loading it. As for the stocks, I've heard the same things. Mine is cracked but it's nowhere near the trigger group and looks like it was prolly dropped and broke a chunk off then repaired. After market stocks are few and far between but support for this rifle is gradually picking up and there is at least one company selling stocks. All-in-all, I loke it and suggest to anyone to get it.
