| M1 Garand Malfunction - Help please! I could use a little help. I just purchased my first M1 Garand. Several times it has partially ejected a clip after only three or four rounds. The clip pops out about halfway, before the next round is chambered. It's easy enough to clear, but fairly annoying. I'm familiar with rifle, and have stripped, thoroughly cleaned and lubricated it thoroughly, but the problem continues. I'm using surplus Greek HXP ammo, and my friend's M1 has no problem with ammo from the same batch. Any ideas as to what the problem is, and how to correct it? Thanks Everyone. |

| Thanks. Any recommendations on where to find a clip latch? And is it something I can replace, or do I need to see a gunsmith? Thanks again. |

| Super Moderator ![]() | I would take it to a good Garand Gunsmith...that way the other parts can be inspected as well. Sarco , or E-Gun parts should have the parts as well as other Garand Parts dealers... Rich
