Yep! I like to look at horns but they taste like poo and they're too crunchy.

My first deer when I was 13, only my second time in a stand, we were about to leave but then a 6-point and a doe ran out in front of us. It was rainy, windy, about 50 degrees out, and at 25 yards the 6-point stopped and I shot him with a Knight MK-85 muzzleloader.

My signature has my 2 best bucks to date, I'm still young though so hopefully I can find better. They were taken opening day of 06' rifle with my Blr .243 with a leupold scope. I didn't shoot a single buck this last season, didn't see any mature enough to take.

Black squirrels

Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought the black squirrels were off limits. When I lived in Holland, MI I was told that you could not hunt them. I am not sure if the person telling me this knew what they were talking about but he told me that and I never did shoot them. You are right about them being everywhere. Little bastards used to taunt my lab to no end.

These are some of my best memories, and therefore my best trophies.

Let's see...

I took up big-game hunting just a few years ago and I hunt for meat, so I don't have too much in the trophy department, but here's what I've got:

I tried whitetail deer hunting a couple of times, and learned that I'm not too crazy about venison, so I doubt that I'll go too frequently, but I did bag this 10-pointer:

Last year, I went turkey hunting for the first time, and thanks to my guide (an awesome turkey caller) I took this tom after about a half-hour in the field:

He's now on my wall, too.

Mainly, though, I hunt feral hogs here in Texas--fun to hunt and tasty to eat. A few weeks ago, I killed two small pigs with one shot. I'd like to say that I planned it, but it was a fluke. Still, kind of a "trophy" of a shot, anyway.

That's about it, at least for now...

Pallidin8, Black squirrels here in MI are a colour phase of the grey squirrel, and fall under the same regs. perfectly legal to hunt. Most times we are hard pressed to find any squirrels other than blacks in the northern part of the lower penninsula.

Hey everyone, new here (obviously) but just wanted to post these to sorta break the ice.

Ferral shot on the last family outing to Kalifornia.

Bison/Buffalo (whichever you prefer) shot last year in New Mexico.

Welcome to Gun and Game Ad hoc
Where in Kalifornia did you take porky? and was it on public or private land? My friend and I are looking for a place to go and shoot porky's brothers.

Can't remember the place exactly, but I'll repost if I find it. It was private land outside of riverside. They've got a site up somewhere for it, apparently Shaq does a lot of his game-taking there...

6x6 Opening Morning Oct 15 2008

Hello,

Opening morning at 8:30 a.m., Sierra Madre Mts. 9 cows came running out of the timber about 100-125yards on the other side of a clearing I was watching. I was camoed and kneeling next to a tree. My rifle is a Savage 300wsm using 150g Win Silvertips. I put my crosshairs on the timber where the cows had come out. I have done this for the last 25 years, but I wasn't ready for what came running out. All I saw were horns on the run. I put the crosshares right in front of his chest. I shot. I saw him slump, but immediately he turned and was headed straight away from back into the timber. He slumped one more time before the entering the timber so I put the cross hares on his back and pulled the trigger. All I could see was backbone and a red mist as the 150g Nosler hit him square in the back. I think my dad a 1/2 a mile way could here my holler for joy.
To say I was excited was an understatement.

Here's the link to my webpage: wyomingoutdoors's photos and albums on webshots
